I would suggest two improvements to the element list feature:
1. Possibility to update any field on multiple selected elements, e.g. to change status on several elements at once.
2. Possibility to add additional columns from any given tagged value.

I concur! I would very much like this feature as well.

yes, me too

2. Possibility to add additional columns from any given tagged value.
Could you please explain this a bit?

1. [glb]Multiple Selection?[/glb]
2. please elaborate. I think I know what you mean, but...

I'm not quite sure about the 2nd point but for the first one I know I would like to have the ability to select multiple, i.e. requirements in the diagram or the element list and through context menu select properties and change, maybe not all but some of them to a value that will be cascaded to each selected element.
For me, this is extremely useful when setting up in example the Status property on Requirements/Features/Use Cases. As it stands right now I have to change each element separately or resort to back door and update it through repository and SQL statements ;D

1. Possibility to update any field on multiple selected elements, e.g. to change status on several elements at once.
I would like to select several rows in the Element List, then right-click and choose properties, and then change any property on the selected elements all at once. As an alternative, a right click on a specific column would allow me to change that particular column on all all selected elements at once.
2. Possibility to add additional columns from any given tagged value.
When dealing with e.g. requirements we use Tagged values to deal with requirement attributes. Then is is desirable to be able to change also these values on multiple requirements at once, in analogy with my first issue above. So the suggestion is to allow for additional columns to be displayed, from tagged values or e.g. the element stereotype field.

Thanks Hans,
These are both variations on the theme of multiple select and modify. We've asked for something like this - in various areas of EA - several times, thus far without luck.
I'm not suggesting your ideas don't have merit - quite the opposite! I think you should follow this thread up with a formal feature request to Sparx. Doing so will add more weight to suggestions made to date. This helps Sparx prioritize features, and they are responsive to the community.
To submit a feature request, click the Feature Request link below the Support link at the bottom of any forum page. We have a best practice we use when doing this, to keep everyone in the loop. Quote the title of this thread in your request, and paste in the URL of your detailed explanation. This will allow the Sparxians to locate and participate in further discussions here.
Please also let us know what you here back from Sparx on this, whenever that happens.
Thanks much,
David

Re 2: Somewhere else I asked for a more sophisticated approach to manage element properties. Some of the current default properties I never use. Others I have to add via Tags. So I would very much like to have a way to create custom property windows with own Tags. So add my vote for this!

Hi folks,
Please take a look at this post here...

The new version that we have released as a 'sneak peak' includes functionality to bring tagged values into the grid as columns - check it out, you may find it does what you are looking for.
With all of the filtering and sorting functionality in the datagrid, you can really work through the tags in a way not currently offered directly in EA!
In addition, this build also adds functionality to allow editing of multiple EA elements at the same time. For example, you can change the stereotype, status, version and more for many elements all at the same time. Simply open up the TA datagrid, select your elements and right click > Properties. Elements can be continuous or you can select only the elements required by holding down the CTRL key when you click on a row.
With full filtering and sorting functions - it is really easy to change only the elements you want - but all at the same time!
Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Seems like you could do all this with a quick add-in pretty easily. I'll take a look ...
