Title: Element Browser - Going to properties dialogue
Post by: Graham_Moir on January 28, 2008, 02:58:51 am
Double clicking on an aspect of an element in the element browser (e.g. attributes) simply takes you to the standard default properties pane - it would be much better if this opened but you were taken to the relevant tab/section of the properties based on what you clicked on in the first place.

I think I would need a further explanation.
What tab would you expectto be default for each type of element? What context will "defaultize" the tabs?

If you use the element browser (found under "More windows" on the "View" menu - not the project browser),  you get a tree like structure for a single element when the element is selected.   However if I then double click on say one of the defined constraints, the standard properties dialogue box appears with you positioned on the "general" tab.  As EA knows I'm interested in a specific constraint it would be much better to take me to that constraint on the "Constraints" tab.
