The characters in Notes panel are small and difficult to read, especially for far eastern characters. Those characters are ugly crowed together, and it's unhappy to read them.
It would be better if can end user customize the font of notes.

But doesn't that change the object's fonts as a whole? We were talking specifically about the Notes compartment, I think.

Yes, the notes compartment.
And yes, add my vote.
This is a far cry from the oft-requested rich (by any definition) notes field, but a very positive move forward in any case.

Actually, now I think about it, Zhigang may have meant the Notes Window [Ctrl+Shift+1] - which also needs to have fonting capability.
We'll just have to wait for Zhigang to clarify...

Sorry, I am so late to clarify it.
Yes, [Ctrl+Shift+1] will bring focus to it. Notes Window. I mean the docked area for writing Notes of an element conveniently, other than in the property window. This docked area is located below the Project Browser by default.
Also, I find a bug about this Notes writing method. Often, I lost my writings. By these steps to repeat it:
1. Open a model and select an element in Project Browser.
2. Writing something in Notes Window for it.
3. Directly close EA.
4. Re-open this model, and the writings made right now is lost.

Yes, Zhigang,
EA has an on-going synchronization problem - especially for Notes.

Please send a bug report to Sparx. Simply refer to this thread. There have already been a number of fixes in this area. One never stops finding new bugs...

One never stops finding new bugs...
As I've said to many developers over the years... If the bugs weren't there I wouldn't find them.... :)

Yes. I do submitted the bug.

This isn't a complete solution for what you want, but the rtf editors in 7.1 support scrolling using control + mouse wheel.
