no way to select multiple objects in boundaries, fragments

Presumably you are trying to drag a selection around a group of objects but your first left click is inside the boundary which ends up being dragged out of position? There are a number of alternatives:

- Right-click the boundary and switch off the "Selectable" setting, then continue as before.

- Ctrl+Click the individual objects that you want to select.

- Start dragging the selection outside the boundary. This will include the boundary in the set of elements selected, so Ctrl+Click it to deselect it.
