This morning I wanted to change the template for the resource document (virtual document) in the Resource window.
The field to do this on the Generate tab is greyed out (see image below) on the Generate RTF Documentation dialogue.
Checking back to the Master document I found that the field is also greyed out there. However I also determined that on the Templates tab I was able to select a different template and it updated the greyed out template !
As an aside I believe that the Templates tab is not required and is inappropriately supplied as part of this dialogue. You go to the resources windows to access this functionality.
Back to the Resource document, I tried to change the template on the templates tab, but it did not work.
My suggestions:
- Allow the Resource Document to be modified out of the resources window.
- Preserve and show the ResourceDocument (or documents) related to a Master Document and show them on the Generate RTF documentation dialogue
- and for good measure remove the Templates tab from Generate RTF documentation dialogue
