What: Assign a diagram filter to a certain diagram.
- Like set a Tagged Value DiagramFilter="OnlyMainFlow" on the Diagram frame element (or Diagram)
In a similar way the TaggedValue SerachName="AllProposedReq" is used for Model Documents!
When: If a diagram occurs in two different places (in a RTF document and/or HTML report), but need different diagram filters.
Why: Current diagram-filter solution only seems to act on my session/workstation, not too a specific diagram.
- See Diagram Filters Window (http://www.sparxsystems.com/uml_tool_guide/modeling_tool_features/diagram_filters_window.htm)
-
Is it possible to have a diagram filter condition based on a tagged value?
-
I've just been looking at that, and no it isn't possible to base a filter on tagged values, but you can use "Keywords". But if the filter is active it is applied to all diagrams in the whole model.

And I agree with Stefan's original post,
there is a need to have a diagram filter to be limited in scope (to package or to diagram)

Yep, I third that!
Funny, I just stumbled accross this feature today and the help guide as I had to exclude a part of the process for the techies, but not delete is as the business want it there for a future iteration, but not forgotten. Very powerful feature to help with visualations.
Any extra capability in this feature will certainly be used.
