Title: 856 spell check issues: html tags
Post by: skiwi on May 28, 2010, 11:58:37 am
When running the spell checker it insists on tagging as errors all the html tags in notes. Actually the tags should be "invisible".

The spell check should igore the underlying formatting of notes fields.

Title: Re: 856 spell check issues: unicode in dialogue

Entering a unicode character (eg to correct a spelling) does not work correctly.
The display of the unicode character is wrong.
The target is not replaced.

Each time EA find a spelling error it repositions the "Spell checking" dialogue box over the "Spell Check" dialogue box.

This hides the context of the actual misspelt word.

1) EA should not position the Spell checking" dialogue box over the "Spell check" dialogue box.
2) EA should preserve the last position of the "Spell checking" dialogue box.

There's a topic I created for v8 (which I can't find) that bemoans the loss of the "options" for Spell checking.

While we're waiting Sparx to fix up the Spelling Options - you can change the checking of HTML tags via:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wintertree\SSCE\IgnoreHTMLMarkups

Alistair,

Can you also have a look at: Check Spelling gets in the way (http://www.sparxsystems.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1278082949/1#1) before release?
