I am a huge fan of EA, and I would like to be able to use it for data modeling, but the choice or Chen notation for ER diagrams leaves me baffled. I have been data modeling for decades and I have NEVER seen Chen notation used by professional data modelers. I have only ever seen it used in academia for trivial models. It uses far too much screen real estate for models of any complexity. Please give us the option of using "crow's foot" notation, as seen in professional data modeling tools.

The Crows Feet notation is supported in EA
Model your Logical Data model using UML class diagram and then double-click the diagram to bring up the Diagram Properties dialog
Select the Connectors tab
Change the Connector Notation from UML to Information Engineering
You should now see the Crows Feet notation
Of course this only works for UML Association connectors
Cheers
