Title: CSV Import Character Encoding
Post by: WzDrg on February 17, 2016, 07:49:22 pm
We have problems importing CSV files with special characters into enterprise architect.
What encoding should we use?

You should probably switch to Jet4. See Tools/Options/General. Additionally you might need replace your EABase.eap in the EA program folder with the Jet4 version which is available somewhere on Sparx' site.

Hello WzDrg,

You can specify encoding for importing CSV file from the Main menu | Tools | Options | Source Code Engineering | Code page for source.
(This option is available for both source code and CSV file.)

HTH,
Anyone know where this option is hidden in EA14, I've been looking and can't find it under the Code or Configure ribbons.

Try the ribbon Publish > Model Exchange > CSV > CSV Import/Export.

For source code, look at the ribbon Configure > Model > Options > Source Code Engineering
