Hi there,
I was aligning the diagram and all the text in the elements disappeared. The content is in the properties. Nothing but the visual appearance is gone. Also, all is visible when I attempt to print the diagram. We have Sparx version 12.1.
Can somebody help with this issue?
Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Which elements? Which MDG? Which diagram? Which align operation on what?

Hi qwerty, thank you for taking the time to help me.
As you can imagine, I'm a newbie using Sparx. I was working on a diagram created by another person. My task was to try to organize the Elements of the UML diagram ("boxes??") in a way that the connectors wouldn't cross over each other. I guess that accidentally press a combination of keys that hid the attributes in the tables.
Now, I have a diagram that doesn't show any text at all. The tables don't have visible attributes. However, when I print the page all the texts appear in the print preview. The content is there. Just, it is hidden in a normal view.
Any idea how to solve this?

I tried to insert/ upload a couple of screenshots here but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

Right click on Diagram
-> Properties -> Elements and check Attributes , Operations, Package Contents.

Attributes , Operations, Package Contents are all checked. Just in case, I unchecked and checked them again. Nothing changed.

You can also manipulate those things on element basis.
Select an element on your diagram then open the context menu, press Features & Properties/Feature and Compartment Visibility… or just press (Ctrl+Shift+Y).
Maybe this solves your problem.

I tried it and didn't fix the issue. I opened another diagrams under the same Package and check all items related to visibility, attributes, etc. to compare with the "blind" diagram. I don't see anything different in the diagrams that show all the attributes. The same "boxes" are checked in all diagram.

Is it just with a single diagram? If so: try to create a copy of that:
- context of diagram in browser
- copy/copy diagram
- context of the package
- copy/paste diagram
- give it a different name
- choose shallow

It is a big Diagram linked to others diagrams and tables. That's an issue, big issue. We don't have baselines or Version control configured. Any further "mistake" can compromise the result of weeks of work. All the work is in the server. It's a dbms based repository.
This is what I did moments ago. I exported it as .XML file to my hard drive. I think I might be able to import the .xml and work to fix it outside of the server. Just working the file in a local repository environment.
IF I can fix it, I would import it back and merge it with the "screwed" file. What do you think? Any suggestion?

Without knowing details of the cause it's hard to tell. I'd try what I suggested above since it does not clobber anything. You could(/should) try things on a copy of your repost (make a project transfer to a local EAP). Once you figured out the cause or a way to fix it you can start a repair on production.

Problem solved!!
The diagram is to big. When I zoomed in too much the fonts "became" invisible. I zoomed out and problem solved!!

Just to be clear, which direction are you zooming? I can imagine text disappearing when you zoom out because the text becomes too small to display, but zooming in shouldn't be an issue.

Do you feel comfortable not being able to restore after a disaster?
You should have some DB backups or e.g. copies of your DB by transferring to eap files, aren’t you?
