I am modeling some software in EA , and I'm struggling to represent constraints of operations and actions in diagrams.
The first problem is that creating an action from the operation does not replicate the constraints, and even when you then manually add the constraints to the action, I'm having trouble displaying them on the diagram.
Please advice me on whether what I want to do is possible, and if so how.
Kind regards.
PS: I'm sorry if the problem is vague, I'm new to UML and by extension Enterprise Architect. If I need to rephrase or elaborate on some parts, please let me know.

There's an option on the diagram properties (Properties | Elements | Show Compartments) to show constraints, but that only works if you use the rectangular notation for your actions. (Advanced | Use Rectangular Notation)
Another option is to create a note, link it to your action, right click on the note link and choose link this note to an Element Feature and then choose the constraint you defined on the action.

Hi Geert,
where can I find the choice (Advanced | Use Rectangular Notation) ?
Thanks,

In the diagram context of elements. Works not for all elements (IIRC actors, actions, activities should offer that).
