I get this message when I open the softare:
"Error:
Code=0xc00ce557
Source=Line : 2; Char : 3
Error Description = Invalid xml declaration."
I deleted all my xml files I could find, but I still get it. What's going on? Any ideas?

Is this your first approach to MDG? I have a write-up for MDG here which might be helpful: http://liquit.biz/brain/enterprise.html (http://liquit.biz/brain/enterprise.html)

qwerty, I get this error when I open Sparx. I don't know which file it comes from. I deleted everything in %APPDATA%\Roaming\Sparx Systems\EA\MDGTechnologies. I get this error every time I open Sparx, no matter how I open it.

Go to Extensions/MDG and turn off all MDGs and see whether you still get the error. Then turn them on one by one.

SOLVED!!!!!
- On Ribbon Menu, went to Configure->Manage Technology.
- On MDG Technologies window->Select Advanced button.
- Under "Specify MDG Technology paths & URLs", I had the wrong path. Deleted path.
Closed and restarted
Problem gone. :)

As I think you have discovered, EA will (naturally enough) attempt to open any *.xml file it finds in the referenced folder. If any have errors or aren't MDG files... "BAM!"

And why tell the user something like "File XY had an error" ?

And where's the fun in that? That would mean every Joe and Jane could be solving mystical error messages. That would completely take the "wizard" status away from me 8)
