Title: Using EA with Git
Post by: pH on March 07, 2017, 10:05:24 pm
Hi,
Is it possible to use EA with Git? I know it works with Subversion but didn't find much in help/forum on using with Git. I saw some post that it works with lemon tree but wanted to know if Sparx system itself allows using EA with Git.

regards,
pH

No, EA does not native support Git.

The guys from LieberLieber have published LemonTree. No idea how that works. But maybe worth a look.

Hi,

LemonTree can be integrated as external diff & merge tool into version control systems such as Git. This allows for let Git manage your eap files. For more infos please visit http://lemontree.lieberlieber.com or write me a PM!

Cheers

Anyone hear if Version 14 will incorporate GIT support?

Most likely not. LieberLieber is somehow linked with Sparx (don't know how, but somehow deeply) and it's unlikely Sparx will spoil their sales for LemonTree.

As an alternate option I have heard of some users installing a free plug-in for Git to make it respond to Microsoft SCC calls, they have then setup their version control in EA to Git using SCC. A quick Google search returns a few different options for plug-ins for Git.
