Title: User Preference to make ALL fonts (proj browser, dialogs, diagrams, etc.) bigger
Post by: Gary W. on July 15, 2017, 08:03:44 am
okay I admit it, my eyes are getting 'old'.. 12pt fonts on a high-resolution screen are MURDER on my eyes as it causes strain.  On v13.0.1300, how can I do this? I already did the Start > Workspace > Preferences > Preferences > Diagram ? Appearance.. etc., but this isn't across the board.

TIA
Gary

I can't help with V13 (maybe later with V14 :-/ ...).

Buy a MacBook (not the new no-escape scrap but the former). It has a build-in zoom (Ctrl + 2 finger wipe up/down). Suits my aged eyes and I use it permanently.

Hi Gary,

I see the following possibilities for diagrams:
- Using the EA Style Panel
  http://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/13.5/user_interface/using_the_style_panel.html (http://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/13.5/user_interface/using_the_style_panel.html)
- Diagram Style with hoTools (Open Source, free)
  https://github.com/Helmut-Ortmann/EnterpriseArchitect_hoTools/wiki/DiagramGeneralStyles (https://github.com/Helmut-Ortmann/EnterpriseArchitect_hoTools/wiki/DiagramGeneralStyles)
- Write a Script / Addin (qwerties books help a lot)

May be there is a way to change the Visual Style http://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/13.5/user_interface/visualstyles.html (http://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/13.5/user_interface/visualstyles.html). An *.xml file or something like this.

Kind regards,

Helmut

Try increasing the DPI by 25% or so.
