Hi!
I try to import TFS work items with VS MDG Integration and am running EA 9.0.906
- VSIntegrate.dll (1.0.4076)
- VSIntegrateTFS (1.0.2642)
- VSLink2.dll (4.5.0.2)
When I try in Visual Studio / EA project Explorer / Kontext menu on Package / Team Foundation Server / Import Work Items I always get the Messagebox "You must be connected to TFS before using this function".
I don't know what he wants, in the Team Explorer I am definitely connected to TFS and I don't know how I should connect more.
Thanks for help!

I have the same problem!
Using
Visual Studio 2010
Team Foundation Server 2010
MDG Integration for Visual Studio 4.5.07
Enterprise Architect 9.0.905.03
Thanks for any help

Hello
EDIT: I do not have the exact same problem, i can connect and link a code project, my problem still probably related because VS simply dies when i try to "import work items" from the context menu.
I have the same problem, i wrote about it under "Bugs" titled "Problem with EA 9.21, TFS and synchronize items". I've filed a bug and the support responded, i'm waiting for feedback.

Thanks for information. May be you could give a link to the solution when it has been supplied.

I don't know if this is important:
In "Programs and Features" of the Control Panel, the name is
"MDG Integration for Microsoft Visual Studio".
But when I start Visual Studio or EA the splash screen shows
"Enterpriste Architect Version 7.5" and "MDG Link for Visual Studio".
Also "Version 4.5.1" and "Tiral Version" are displayed.
Greetings

Best regards

Ps For me it says correct version for EA: 9.2.291 but MDG Link says 4.5.1 in EA.

Hello again
They asked us to use some tools when the crash happens and we have sent them the log.
Hopefully they are on to something. We have verified the problem on 3 physical machines and 3 virtual machines but of course we could do something really wrong which could explain everything:-)
Could somebody please verify if they have got tfs2010/vs2010 integration to work WITHOUT having an old tfs2008 installed?
Anyway, otherwise this is a great tool and works ok, but we need the tfs2010/vs2010 integration.

This is the same more or less the same text that i have in post 17 under bugs. The text is related to an other customers writings about a similar problem with the 2008 version of TFS/EA.
////
Didn't know that it was an old bug, we belived that it was only related to TFS2010. Hopefully they will fix it soon, it's a showstopper for our organisation.
I have sent them a logfil where it's 'rather' clear what the problems is. (Well ofcourse i could be totally wrong and it's a hard error) It seem to be a assembly reference for non-existing tfs 2008 version. ( They seems to have a dynamic loader which correctly find's the right assembly, BUT then uses the 'hard' wrong reference, with a crash as result??? Anyway it's just my humble quess:-)
Havent heard anything for some time, would be nice to get some feedback, instructions or even an virtualization zip to try out. We have given instructions on how to replicate the problem, we have done it for both 32/64 bit Win7 and Windows Server 2008R2, all with the same crash as a result.
Best regards
Kaj
