Title: How to create a "click-through" object in a diagram
Post by: cjdavies on November 17, 2018, 05:47:58 am
I have searched the forum for this subject already. I have seen EA models that have diagram elements that you can click through to "drill down" to another layer of detail. However, I cannot figure out how to do that. For example,I might want to create an object that represents a business process and be able to click through it to see the actual details of the process, such as an activity diagram. Any help will be appreciated.

Child diagram is the thing you want.

You have to add composite diagram for you element. This would create a diagram inside your element and the element would be flagged as "composite" which add a "O-O" like symbol in the diagram. Double clicking composite elements would open the internal diagram. If you need to open the properties window you have to select the element and press Alt + Enter
