Hi,
I noticed that stereotyped packages automatically get their Alias value set with the stereotype value.
This can be an issue when enabling the Use Alias if available diagram property.
Is there a way to disable this behaviour?
Thanks

In over a decade of EA use, I've never noticed that! On my installation, the Alias and Stereotype behave as expected.

I have the same effect

I also don't have the Alias = Stereotype problem.

Interesting effect. I've not notice that. Just tried it with V14.1 and V15 and indeed alias does get populated with the stereotype. Don't think that was the behaviour in earlier versions as I have a lot of packages stereotyped which don't have the alias populated with stereotype. So must be a new feature that's similar to a broken pencil.

The line of code responsible has been there since 2006. I suppose there could be a valid reason, but I don't know what it is. If you want it changed, please send in a bug report and somebody higher up can make an executive decision...
