In v14 we suddenly had the attributes and operations dialog disappear on us.
We complained and, lo an behold, it came back in version 14.1.
Now when trying out v15 beta I see that it disappeared again :(
Please give me back the attributes and operations dialog. I it works, don't fix it!

Attributes and operations are now available in Features dockable window, which then is divided into several tabs:
- attributes
- operations
- receptions
- parts/properties
- interaction points

That dockable window was there in the v14 as well, but it's not the same as the dialog, that's why they brought it back.

There's still a dialog to edit an attribute.
It's opened with:
- F9 with an attribute selected anywhere
- Shift+Enter with an attribute selected anywhere
- Double click on an attribute in the diagram or element browser
- Enter with an attribute selected in the diagram or element browser
The operations dialog is the same except F10 and selected operations.
PS. For keyboard users, Ctrl+Enter has also been standardized to put focus in the docked properties window.

Yes, I saw that, but that's a dialog for a single attribute.
Quite different from the dialog for all attributes we had before.
I feel like this one-by-one dialog will decrease my productivity compared to the previous dialog.
I really don't understand why this change was required. Obviously the users liked the old dialog, of we wouldn't have complained about it disappearing in v14.
And still someone at Sparx HQ decides to spend the precious developer time on building a completely new dialog with a lot less usability instead of spending it on the many bugs or the feature requests reported by it's users.
Too bad...
Any chance we can get out old dialog back again like we did in v14.1?

I thought I posted about this yesterday, but the post must have got lost.
On a diagram or browseer, select the vertex and <Context Menu> | Features > Attributes... will restore our beloved dialog. However, we shouldn't have to take the "scenic route". ::)

And the "prefer property dialog" option is gone from visual style.
How come you can still see the old dialog?

My bad...
Since I can edit the _image and icon properties on the profile stereotypes, I was fooled into thinking it was the old dialog.

I would like the dialog back, besides, now it is beyond weird, you get the new dialog when you select 'attributes', but the old one when you select an attribute. The new dialog screws up my workflow, the old one didn't, I'd prefer my tools support my workflow, not just the viewpoint from a designers perspective. I'm fine with the option being brought back. Better yesterday than tomorrow. Might just drop back to 14.1. Or just build a new dialog that supports the old workflow. Anything but this.....

I want that freaking property dialog back instead of that stupid features tab!!!
I have been using Sparx EA since 2005 and in every single update Sparx has done so far, there's always been the urge to optimize/change the UI, but frankly: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Apparently, there is is little interest in keeping things fluid. Now every time I work with a form of a data model, I am forced into a rather inefficient workflow. I cannot understand someone ditching an efficient edit and replacing it with a two-part edit.
And on top of that, after bringing it back, it was removed again. It might fit in some grander scheme, but ultimately, shouldn't we have a choice? I am still contemplating if I should move back to 14.1 and not decided. But I have not renewed my subscription as I am thinking about what next. As a customer, if you don't feel your concern is being taken serious, there are only a few options left. Generally I like to stay current, as very release brings interesting new options. But from 14.1 to 15+ it also brought an irritant.

Well, I'm with you. But I also have no answer. I try to get myself not been eaten up by frustration.

V16 is due soon. But something tells me none of us hold out much hope that this will be fixed. If anything other workflow will have been "improved" to heighten everyone's frustration.

I actually think the features dialogue is not too bad (though it's not really an improvement to the previous one). But what's really sick ist the connector (and a few more) properties dialogue. That confirms to no other GUI standard world wide.
