Title: Sharing documentation templates
Post by: Ozzone on February 05, 2004, 06:16:47 am
Being new to EA I am looking to personalize documentation to be produced.

It might be nice however to share existing templates from others.

Would you have templates to share ?

Any other suggestions regarding templates or documentation production in EA ?

Thanks

I am also trying to customise documentation produced from EA but I can't work out how to access the RTF template environment to do this.

Can anyone help me?  I need to produce a software requirements specification in a very specific format now that I have developed the UML artifacts within EA.

It's probably right under my nose.

???

We have just kicked off with EA as our Modelling and documentation Tool and I also would be very interrested in Sharing Templates both RTF and Word with the embedede RTF Templates (e.g. Functional Specification, Business Requirements, Technical Design and Test Plan/Cases) ***** If Anyone has a set of these RTF to WORD templates for EA I would love to hear from them.)

Cheers Chris :o

I have been trying to use the Automation Interface to produce custom documentation.  You can use it to dump your EA stuff into an existing .dot you have. It seems like it would work, but I can't get it to work the way the API says it should work, namely around the Connectors and DiagramLinks objects. If I could get those to return the values the documentation says they will return I would be ok. There is a sample download on this site to get you started.
