Title: Where has "Make All Selectable" gone?
Post by: Thelonius on November 12, 2020, 03:07:31 pm
We've upgraded from v13 to v15.1 - used to be able to make bits on a diagram 'unselectable' - and then make EVERYTHING 'selectable' again. It appears 'make all selectable' option has disappeared, so making elements 'selectable' again requires a one-by-one process.

Either 'make all selectable' has been removed - or it's been hidden very cleverly somewhere in the UI I would never find it.

Anyone know? (No one else seems to have reported this issue in the forum as far as I can see. I did check.)

Note to Sparx:

The documentation (and the UI) for 'Make All Elements Selectable' is not presented together in the same documentation area with 'Make Non-Selectable'.

I'm not a UI designer, but if I were, I'd put related UI controls, options, settings together.

'Make Element Non-Selectable' is a right-click context option that can be used with multiple selection.

'Make All Elements Selectable' is in a completely different place in the user interface. Hmm. And in a completely different place in the documentation.

Which is why it took me so long to understand these two related aspects of the same functionality.

That's called EAUI (EA Unique Interface) and it will remain sparxian for eternity.

The ribbon interface.

I rest my case.

I was being subtly rude there. Hope no one else noticed.
