Title: Option to skip "this diagram already contains" message when dropping an element
Post by: Guillaume on November 12, 2020, 11:58:47 pm
When I drag & drop a selection of elements on a populated diagram, I get a message for each element that's already in the diagram.
It would be useful to have an checkbox to skip other messages for this drag/drop action. If I have 50 classes from a package to add on a diagram with only 10 that are new, I currently have to click 40 times to close each popup.

Just to clarify, my aim is not to put the same element twice on the same diagram, but to skip the warning for elements that are already on my diagram so I don't have to click so many times.
The same applies when I copy/paste elements from a diagram to another one: I'd like to skip messages if I have a number of elements already on my target diagram.

Understood, at times I even killed the ea.exe process because EA kept popping up message boxes.
Would be nice to have "select this option for all" for all message boxes that pop up.

No, it would not be nice. Such behavior must be mandatory. Though I don't expect any "human logic" in EA's GUI.

I'm SURE I asked for this within the last two years!  However, a quick search didn't find it.

But since it was so recent, I don't hold out much hope of it being implemented in the near future,

It's OBVIOUSLY a good idea!

I'm SURE I asked for this ...

Guess I remember your post. It was with "apply this for all other...". Pretty sure the Sparxians don't USE their own tool. Or maybe they do and are just Sparxians :-/
