Title: Link to Element feature support
Post by: Guillaume on November 20, 2020, 12:15:55 am
Hello,

A client is using EA and Prolaborate to publish and share Data Models.
We use dependency links between classes to map attributes by enabling the Link to Element feature. Such mapping links are currently visible on diagrams.

Below is a description illustrating a feature request for Prolaborate:
- I click on Class1 to access the details (attributes)
- I click on the Traceability view; I can see the mapped classes under "Dependency" e.g. "<- Connected with Class2"
If a link to element feature is enabled on either end of a connector ...
- Can you add an icon with mousehover description of the linked feature(s) in the current element + linked feature(s) in the linked element ?
- When clicking on Connected to open the connector details, add 2 Basic attributes: Source Linked Attributes, Target Linked Attributes. Each group would list each attribute with a hyperlink onto it to open the class + attribute tab.

This could also be added on the "List of connectors" view from the diagram (icon in the bottom right of the class)

Thanks
Guillaume

Hi,

Whilst this request is still active, I found a workaround with the new EA Custom Attributes available with Prolaborate 3.4.
