Title: PCS Appropriate Max Simultaneous Queries values (Prolaborate and/or EA)
Post by: Guillaume on November 27, 2020, 12:14:59 am
Hello,

When using the Pro Cloud Server Team Server with a Prolaborate 100 users for instance, what should be the Max Simultaneous Queries value in the PCS configuration?
By default it's 10, but I would think that it needs to be set to 100 ; is it correct?

When the same PCS instance is also used as a Cloud Connection from EA, should it be set to 999?

Hi Guillaume,

Max Simultaneous Queries refers to the maximum number of API calls that PCS can process concurrently. This can be equal to the number of concurrent EA (assuming they only use cloud connection to connect) and Prolaborate users.

For example, if you expect a maximum of 100 users to use EA and Prolaborate concurrently, you can set the count to 100.

To share our experience, we have not seen many companies change it. And as per this user guide (https://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/15.2/model_repository/cloud_server_client_config.html), it is not suggested to increase it beyond the requirements.
