I have an Activity where I have a result pin of an action connected with an object flow to a parameter of the activity. When I do a model validation, I get the following error:
MVR020001 - warning (result (ActionPin)): result is missing required child element: Action
The result pin there, and it is connected, but what this missing required child element of type Action all about?

I realize the original post is more than three years old, but I'm also seeing this validation warning message in EA v15.2 and similar to the OP I don't understand what this message means.
Obviously an Action can have a child ActionPin, but not the other way around so the message makes no sense (to me at least).
Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I can try it out in version 16 to see if I still get the error. Since that was a long time ago, I'd have to reconstruct a basic model. I think I may know what type of action it was. I will let you know what I find out.

Even the sample model in EAExample fails to validate. I tried the package User Interface Features > Properties UI > UML, and I got several warnings about the ActionPins.
I honestly don't know what kind of child element a pin can have. This could be a bug in EA. I know I had an issue reported once on EA regarding the ReadStructuralFeatureAction once before and I don't think it has been resolved either. It seems that Actions with pins have problems in EA unless someone can point out to us what we are doing wrong.

Thanks @mse for trying this out. I'm going to trust my own judgement and experience on this and say it's an EA bug.
