Title: Could somebody post example of using external model's 'SysML' blocks over PCS
Post by: avi10000 on December 31, 2020, 02:10:20 pm
Hi,

I am exploring the possibility of using PCS.

Please could somebody post (or point me to) an actual example of EA Project Browser viewing and using the 'SysML' blocks of an external EA model hosted on the Sparx Cloud-Pro server?

One screenshot would be nice, showing that you can drag into your own model a link to an external block.

Thanks in advance
Avi

And a question:

I assume that I can use an external model without importing the model. Correct?

Thanks

If a model is hosted ( configured ) in PCS (it's similar to Server Connection ) you can connect that model in EA thick client using Cloud Connection.
Please refer here to Cloud Connection Configuration (https://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/14.0/model_repository/cloud_server_connect_ea.html) for more details.

An additional advantage of using PCS is, it  provides WEB access to your EA model

Here is the EA Example model view in EA Thick Client, Prolaborate and WebEA
