Hi
Is it possible to import xml file which is not actually the one exported from .eap?
In other words, say I have other general xml file, can i import that into EA or EA is only able to read XMLs which has been originally exported from EA to XML?
Thanks

Which ones do you have in mind (like from other UML tools or from Vision)? Then the answer is: not natively. If the format is that which EA produces: yes (of course).

What exactly do you mean by importing xml files?
XML can contain all kinds of stuff.
If it contains valid xmi then yes, you can import it into EA, but the results will vary according tot the xmi dialect used.
If the xml file contains an XML schema (xsd) then you can import it as well.
Other xml files? No.

Thanks qwerty & Geert!!!
I had thought the similar way that if it was not in the format readable by EA probably it wont allow importing into it...I am not sure from where that xml file was generated...it was tested by some other user...will get back once i get that info..
