Hello,
I am trying to upgrade the PSC from the current 4.1 to the newer version 4.2. I've never done it before as the previous employee has left, and I just wanted to make sure the process fo the upgrade and the server will operate as expected.
- Do I need to stop the service before upgrading? How?
- What is the best way to back up?
- I do not have the Pro Cloud Server Logon credential, how can I reset the password?
- How to update WebEA and WebConfig?
Is there a way to request the Sparx Support team to assist with this update?
Thanks,
Mintra

- Do I need to stop the service before upgrading? How?
Nope, the installer will automatically stop and restart the service.
- What is the best way to back up?
Usually, backup is not required, if you need to take a backup please zip the installation folder ( default installation folder will be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sparx Systems\Pro Cloud Server" )
do not have the Pro Cloud Server Logon credential, how can I reset the password?
It will be in the config file (C:\Program Files (x86)\Sparx Systems\Pro Cloud Server\Service\SSProCloud.config)
Default will be pcsadm1n , from the least version I think passwords will be saved encrypted .
- How to update WebEA and WebConfig?
After installing the latest PCS, all the files related to latest WebEA will be under this folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Sparx Systems\Pro Cloud Server\WebEA) .
