Title: Performance issues after upgrade to PCS 5.1.121
Post by: Dmnk on December 15, 2022, 11:28:09 pm
Hi,

after upgrade of PCS 5.1.121 from 4.2.66. Clients accessing via VPN experienced several performance/connection errors like:

Enterprise Architect has experienced a network error and will close down.

Sparx Systems Pro Cloud Server [0x000007d3]
Transmission error communicating with server. Http Status Code: 411 Length Required

ADODB.Recordset [0x800a0e78]

Pro Cloud Server: The http connection reported the following error: 12029
Pro Cloud Server: A connection with the server could not be established
Pro Cloud Server: Http Status Code: 411 Length Required

We are using EA 15.2 1560, so we rolled back to PCS 4.2.66. A mysql 5.7 database runs in the background with ODBC 5.3.14. I haven't tried the PCS native database connection yet.

I have read in another post to have the best performance we would have keep both EA and PCS up to date. Maybe that would bring us better performance?

Hello,

I'm having the same issue; a client is testing EA 16.1 and we found out that it requires the latest PCS 5.1
They're using SQL Server DB and a number of users are still using EA 15.1/15.2. Once connected, they often get the error below.

Pro Cloud Server: Http Status Code: 411 Length Required

I initially set up a system ODBC DSN on the PCS to the SQL Server DB. I then ran a new test using the PCS Native Connection and it fixed the issue.
Having upgraded from 4.2, I had to change all existing DB configuration from the ODBC system ODBC to the native connection.
