Can I install the full version of EA and EA-lite on the same machine? Our small team currently owns 1 ultimate edition floating license, and I'd like to be able to share it and let someone else model while I review the model in EA-lite. I read about a workaround of installing in different directories with older versions, but that doesn't appear to work with 16.1. When I install EA-lite it removes my fully licensed version (or at least moves files to the directory for EA-lite).

Have you tried renaming the EA program files folder before installing EA Lite

Do as Geert suggests. I have a couple of EA releases installed (though no lite version). The procedure is to rename the last EA installation in the Programs folder from EA to EA<I use the release number> or whatever you like. Then install any other (including Lite). That will create a new EA folder (which I usually rename as mentioned). Remember that any shortcuts created point to the EA folder.

I've used this scenario with older versions (32 bits). I don't know if now, in version 16, they use the same folder in the installation. Regarding licensing, it is assumed that you should not have any issues.

Replying to acknowledge the responses. I believe EA has changed how they deploy their required files in version 16 and it no longer works to install the different packages in different paths. We are working around this by installing EA-lite on an app server, and whoever needs the full EA will have it installed locally.

You might try to run the 64 bits Ultimate next to 32 bit EA Lite as they are (by definition) deployed in different folders on windows itself ("Program Files" vs "Program Files (x86)"). I've done this when testing V16 (64bit) before removing V15.2 (32bit).
