Title: Keep the OpenID session when switching between EA Projects
Post by: Guillaume on February 03, 2023, 01:47:45 am
Hi,

When users work on different EA repositories with the OpenID authentication enabled in EA security, switching from a repository to another without closing EA requires to go through the Login with OpenID popup each time.
This can be annoying since the browser is opened before going back to EA. Furthermore the browser is closed down automatically when using EA 15.1.

Could an EA process keep the user OpenID session alive to bypass the login when closing a project, to open another one ?

Isn't there a checkbox which allows you to skip the display of the popup?
I thought I saw it a while ago but not anymore because I don't get the pop-up anymore.

Hi,

Unfortunately it's not the purpose of thos option: if you enable the checkbox, it removes the OpenID authentication and the user gets the EA user authentication dialog (Login to EA Repository).
If users enable it by mistake, they have to go to menu Settings > My Account > Hide OpenID login window.
