Title: v16 - "Find in Browser" - DOESN'T!
Post by: Paolo F Cantoni on May 15, 2023, 02:26:28 pm
If I’m in the Browser and select <Context Menu> | Find in Browser from the Browser “Hamburger menu), am I directed to Find in Model Page?

There used to be a separate (and slow) REAL Find in Browser functionality that did!   When did it disappear?

TIA,
Paolo

A while ago (in V15). I'm currently offline but asked this here and got a response (which is why I found it back in some of the search menu windows where it resides as small icon. I got used to have that open but it keeps moving around. EA like EA.

Design | Explore > Portals > Toolbars > Show Toolbar > Project Tools
There is an icon with "a binocular on a package" -> "Find in Project Browser"
The icon with only a "binocular" is the standard search "Find in Project" (Ctrl-F)

Yes, there it is. I guess the Sprxians have a dartboard with menu-points and each time one has a hit it will be eliminated or moved to another strange menu position. Much laughs and beers included.

Thanks, Varlery,

It looks like this will search the WHOLE browser (VERY slow).  I was hoping for an option to search from the current package (either up or down) so I could go roughly where the item I was after was.

Oh, well...

Hmm, I don't use it that often now (since it's so awkward to access) but I did not have the impression the functionality had changed. IIRC (will verify tonight) the search starts from the current selected element.
