Title: Presenting the same capability map to different stakeholders
Post by: Model Trainer on July 19, 2023, 11:03:11 pm
Hi folks,

I made a BA model in ArchiMate, and we have a capability map with 3 layers. I have some questions regarding this map:
1. Is it possible while we have all the map in a diagram, filter by its layers, but instead of hiding/fading other layers, we see them as a pull-down list or like a dashboard with different filters, which by clicking on them we can see the desired layer, and don't see the others?
2. Do we have something like Pivot tables to generate customized views based on different dimensions? For example, some capabilities are active for stakeholders in various departments, regions, lines of business, etc. How can I combine these filters together and have customized views or viewpoints for different groups of stakeholders? I don't what they can see empty or faded spaces shown after filtering or layering. I want they can see an entirely new view.

Best

1. We did this in via Procloud WebEA but it are all copies of the same diagram (just different views)

2. Make a feature request; We have made one for this in the past as well, if they have enough requests I hope they will consider it
The request we made was to add filters to tagged values we placed on the elements where the tags could be connected to user groups (eg. specific companies within the group) where the filter is automatically applied when a user of this group views a diagram.
