Title: Export Project with all Baselines
Post by: Lukasz1312 on May 06, 2024, 06:39:52 pm
Hi,
my team have a question - is there an option to export Project with all baselines with it ? After import they have only last version of the project

edit:
Is it possible to transfer packages between different databases along with all Baselines created on a given package?

The problem we encountered is that the Export to XMI function does not export Baselines created on the exported package.

Hi,
over the baseline export you must select the baseline in question. But you can export your full project over Settings/Transfer/Move Data.

Transferring from one repository (database) to another is not an easy task. This is at least not possible out of the box in EA. You need to sync all your artifacts within the baselines over a database script.

Just to expand on Ingmar's response, the key issue with baselines is how they are stored in the repository, "Baselines are in XMI format and are stored within the model in compressed format. More than one baseline can be stored against a single EA package."

Of course this assuming that you are referring to baselines as described in https://sparxsystems.com/resources/baseline/.
