The description sounds strange. Which version are you using?

Looks like a wise suggestion from the Sparx gods. Isn't MS access going to be discontinued? (And the word will be a better place for it...)

The 64 bit edition doesn't support .eap files anymore, the 32 bit edition does.
And you can never create a new file in the transfer. First create a new file, then transfer to it.

Which version are you using then?
I just tested Program Version: 16.1.1621 (Build: 1621) - 64 bit and it still supports the transfer from EAP to QEA.
Try menu "Settings => Transfer => Migrate EAP/EAPX Project to QEA".
It allows to select the QEA file to transfer to and it even asks whether to create the file when it doesn't exist.

Version 17, but I think is more complex then that.
My version doesn't allow to save to an .eap(x) file anymore, but it does support file transfer.
However it shows this in the system output, which might be needed to allow this support:
Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0-- found and available
Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.16.0-- found and available

There seems to be a discrepancy in the content of the conversation.
- mark.vexler and Geert : from QEA to EAP
- ea0522 : from EAP to QEA
Anyway, as Geert wrote, the 64-bit version no longer supports EAP. I have not checked if we can convert from QEA to EAP using the 32-bit version of EA.

Ah, sorry, my misreading indeed.
