Title: Is is possible to automate "MDG link"?

For some tasks it will be nice to automate "MDG link". For example if we have solution with many projects, and we want to update the model from sources. It takes time. It will be nice to have it running, for example, at night under some script control, and every morning the model will be actual.
As far as I understood, right now, there is no such mechanism. Am I right?
