Title: UML 2.0 and Use Case Generalizations
Post by: mchiuminatto on March 01, 2004, 06:01:12 am
Hi

Is use case generalization a valid use case association in UML 2.0 or it's been removed?. I've downloaded the Superstructure document from OMG and I only see as valid associations Include, Extend (extension points) and Classifier.

Thanks in advanced.

Since use cases are a classifier and classifiers can be generalised and specialised then use cases can use the generalises relationship.

Although the text does not seem to mention it, diagram 406 definitiely shows use case generalizations.

Hi Sargasso

I didn't see the figure 406. There they are, but they neither mention it, as in 1.5 version , nor mention it as a change from previous versions. There’s just a figure(406).

I’ll assume UC generalizations are allowed in version 2.0, since they are classifiers.

Thanks a lot Sargasso.
