Hi all,
I placed a sample Perl script on EAusergroup (http://sharepoint.knowledgerecovery.com/external/eaug/EA%20AddIns/Forms/AllItems.aspx) that allows you to write Add-ins via Windows Scripting Host. It has a short documentation inside.
