Title: Customizing the UI and creating default values?
Post by: Stealth on July 18, 2005, 12:48:10 am
Hi,

is it possible to customize the UI of EA?
For example i want to hide fields in the propertybox of an Element, cause they are not needed?

My second question is, is it possible to create default values in some fields, when an element is created?

Thanks a lot for your help

For 1) it is not possible to customize the GUI like you want it.

For 2) you can set a template package containing the elements you need. Each time you create an element EA will copy an existing element out of this package.

Hi thomaskilian,

thanks for your help. I have one more questions:

I found two ways to set default values. Using the template  package or using an Add-in Events (Post or Pre New Element). But both way are are not functional when i create an new element in the project view by the context menu.

Is it a bug?

Thanks

Hm. Actually no idea. I would call this a bug and recommend to send a bug report.
