I first noticed this in the new (825) Views window, but I've since found it in others - such as Resources...
Although these windows show an outline control, the outlining widgets DON'T have the branch expanders and contractors (as does the Browser window).
Please provide...
Consistency, Consistency, Consistency! TM
Unsurprised,
Paolo

Thanks Paolo,
I found myself staring really hard at one of these, but the "what's wrong with this picture" answer just didn't surface.
David
BTW, you've proposed an acceptable workaround. The ideal solution would be to remove the offending marks from the Project Browser as well - for consistency - and to have all these trees expand and contract when you stare at them hard enough. ;D

I'm sorry guys I can't see the difference you're talking about. This is probably because I'm misinterpreting your terminology.
Outlining - The dotted lines that link nodes in all three trees. I can see that no line is drawn if only a single root node exists for any tree.
Branch expanders/contractors - The +/- buttons next to each node. All three trees draw with these except when a node has no children.
So is there something that I'm missing?

Hi Simon,
Create an RTF Document. This will give you a four layer resources tree:
Resources::Documents::RTF Documents::<Your document name>
Collapse the resources branch. Right click the collapsed branch - Nothing happens. Collapse a browser root and right click it
- and you have (among other menu items) Expand Branch (and Collapse Branch - which should be disabled (but that's another EAUI)).
What David and I are requesting is that ALL nodes with children have the ability to expand/contract (as appropriate) the entire branch below that node.
HTH,
Paolo

Okay, thanks for clarifying.
What you're requesting is that we add 'Expand Branch' and 'Collapse Branch' to the context menu for all nodes that have children.

By George, he's got it!

And yes Simon, it is a request rather than a bug report, given the vernacular that Sparx normally uses. Paolo makes a good point though about consistency, but you can read that either way.
For my part I am merely responding and adding to Paolo's original point, so the posts went where the thread was.
