Hello,
the font rendering is in the new release 'blurred' after the first opening. I set the default font to 'TT Arial' size 8 (like the last version 7.0 ...) it's 'hazy'. The only solution is zoom 'ctrl mouse wheel'.

Anti-aliased text is now being used. Although if there is enough demand I'm sure that coulod be optional.

Hi,
thanks for your reply. :) 'anti-aliased text' as optional feature is a better solution.

I think it's looking better that way.
What about the rendering though? Notes attached to element features (notes) are not rendered bold. Notes in the compartment dito, plus bullets are preceded by a rectangle box (wrong tab). Indentation is not correct (though I believe to have seen it correct sometimes). Will send a bug report (during the weekend).
Edit:Sorted out the containment rendering: you need to check a new option in the appearance menu. Funnily: works in compartmens (with usual EAUI) but not in Notes - again EAUI in another way.

I had some of (what sound like) the same problems with bullets and indentation. Couldn't isolate them though - I was too busy 'in the engine room' trying to get things done - so I did not report it. No time to check 827 so far.
EDIT: Yes, I think that anti-aliasing should be an option the user can set.

Hi
Bullets inserted in elements notes and exported through an RTF Report are not shown in Word 2002 and 2007, although they are correctly displayed in EA internal viewer and Wordpad.
Does anyone knows of a workaround or solution for this issue?
Thanks in advance

Have you logged this formally as a bug with Sparx ? As well as having a workaround, it would be good to get it fixed.

Hi
It seems this is actually a bug, as it was also reported by other users.
There was no workaround yet, but it will be investigated.

Vote for possibility to switch off.
(probably this is not bug but feature, they call it "Improved quality of text output on diagrams." ... see Summary of features for Enterprise Architect 7.1 (Build 827)
If i want antialiassed fonts, i can swicth on ClearType in Windows (http://www.microsoft.com/typography/cleartype/tuner/Step1.aspx), so why this feature in EA ?
