We use stereotypes for packages to apply to them different sets of attributes through tagged values, all based in previusly created MDG technology.
As long as we open a duagram and drop the packages with stereotype from the tool box it works fine but if a package was created through the tree (as it normaly is) we have to add the stereotype and tehn perform synch with profiles.
I think it will be much more usable to be able to add stereotype when creating (as for any other element) and then adding the tag values at creation.
At the end - the apckage is yet anothwer element.
[edit]Also we have to synch type by type, we can't synch the whole profile.[/edit]

I asked for something similar in another thread. Did not have too much response, though.

In yet another thread someone from Sparx said they were planning to introduce automatic synchronization for tagged values defined in a profile. This would solve all these problems, but they didn't give a time frame.

Automatic synch answers part of it, it will still just be a work-arround.

You're right of course, Martin. There's no reason why the create package dialog should be different. Would be much more consistent if it showed the properties dialog like on creation of any other old element.
But when there's automatic synchronization, this will not be a bug anymore, but just one of those EAUI nuisances.
