Title: Transition lines too smart
Post by: DanG83616 on July 03, 2008, 05:35:01 am
Transition lines from a super state to a substate seem to have an unruly mind of their own. Often times they become detached from the source (the inner edge of the super state) and they don't tolerate moving the endpoints. Is there a way to just make them stick to where you connect them?

Thanks,
Dan

I've not tried this with transition lines - just with associations on class diagrams - but try pinning either or both end points. This can make the lines cooperate when they might otherwise insist on moving.

Right-click the line in question, then choose Pin End(s) from the context menu.

I tried pinning but the transition just picks its own spot, different than where it ever jumps when I try to move it, and stays put. If I could only get the attachment spot to be where I want it then I could pin it there. Even if I do figure out a way, this is way too hard.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Oh well...

This might make a nice feature request to Sparx, either as a 'pin' option or on its own. I'll leave you to judge.
