Title: 8.0 Model Search Build Crashes when Adding Filter

Open a project.
Ctrl+F
Show Search Builder
Add Filter (click icon or use context menu)
Select anything but element in the Search On pulldown
CRASH or Out of Memory and then CRASH

Anyone have a work around?

No. Probably you have to wait for the next build with a different set of bugs. In the meantime you may report this bug. Though I'm no longer too confident it really gets fixed.

Dan,

Being less cynical then beginner I must say that serious bugs/crashes like this usually get fixed by the next build (~6 weeks), but only if they get reported by the official channel (http://www.sparxsystems.com/support/bug_report.html)

Sorry, I should have noted that the bug had been logged. Sparx acknowledged that the developers have reproduced it and have a fix for the next release.

Had I been more diligent and tested at least one of the three beta releases I'd have a fix by now. Or, if Sparx multiplied the prices by 10 maybe they could afford more complete testing. I think EA's success has been driven by the former. Most other companies take the latter route and end up providing less value (or at least not affordable value). So, next time a beta comes out, I'm gonna test it! Hope others will join in.
