Title: Import Model from Magic Draw

When I import XML from MD, i don't see diagrams,

Hi Kris,

With some consultation with our XMI expert I have found the following.

There can be 2 reasons why EA is unable to import the diagrams :

1. The XMI file does not contain any diagram information

2. The diagram information present in the XMI file is not in a format which EA understands.

In both the above cases, EA will import the model without the diagrams. Currently, there is no work-around for this issue. After importing the model, you need to create a diagram manually and drag/drop the elements from the 'Project View' into the diagram.

It may be worth attempting to export to a different XMI format (i.e., XMI 1.0, XMI 1.1, XMI 1.2) if your version of MagicDraw supports that.  From version 10, MagicDraw only exports in XMI 2.1.  EA currently, does not have the capability to import XMI 2.1 files.  This will be addressed in the future.
