Suggestions and Requests / Floating diagram windows

Hello EA,

i see a floating diagram window as more effective.

It could  be very helpfull to see 2 or more diagram in floating windows (floating like the toolbars are).

Is this possible to do in next EA?

Hello,

i see column alias as efective way for model presentation.

There is a problem in my EA.6.1.878 in table-diagram.
Between alias and column name there are 2 'square' characters.

Please, would you like to fix this this problem.

Hello,

this suggestion i adress to the moderator.

context ClassA def:

context ClassB def:
attr clA: ClassA

When i delete the ClassA i would like to see a warning about the usage of ClassA in ClassB.
When accepted, then it will be correct to clear type of clA.

Suggestions and Requests / Problem: ea6 stereotype.table atribute order

Hello,

this suggestion i adress to the moderator.

This are the Ctrl-T pictures of the same ea-file. In version 6 the order is not the same as in the F9 atribute window and so i get different diagrams of the same file.
This behavior i see by all tables in the file.


Must i go back to ea5 or is there some another way?

General Board / Problem: Alt-Z on class without attr.

Hello,

this suggestion i adress to the moderator.

Please try Alt-Z on a «enumeration» class without attribute and operation. EA6 hides the element borders in a diagram. I can see the element label, but i find only one way how to drag the element:

.) Locate it in Project view, Ctrl-U, Del, Drag-Drop in the diagram again.

.) Removing «enumeration» stereotype helps too.

Stereotype «table» id o.k.

Uml Process / How much will it take to master UML?

Hi everybody,

I just wonder to know how much will it take to master UML?

I would like using Sparx Enterprise Architect tool for modelling.

Background:

1) I have strong Computer Scince skills (including OOP)

2) In the Company I work in there is a medium project that in my opinion requires using CASE tools. I am the one responsible for deploying CASE tools, managing and developing the project.

What time will it take for me to quickly study the stuff, taking into consideration the fact of presence of real (working) project to train?
