General Board / stereotype <<entity>> without image with circle

Hi all,

I want to use a stereotype "entity" for a class,
but without a circle image with the line below.

I need an implicit rectangle image of the class.
How do I turn off this circle image for entity stereotype?

Hi all,

I insert a picture into the word document and add a hyperlink to it.

I insert this word document into the Linked Document by script:

Code: [Select]

theElement.LoadLinkedDocument ("c://temp/temp.docx")
The picture in Linked Document has no hyperlink.

Is it a bug?

Hi all,

I have this problem:

I insert a few links from EA into the text of Linked Doc.
When I copy text from a Linked Document to Word using Clipboard (CTRL A, CTRL C in Linked Doc and CRL V in Word Doc) and run a simple test macro in Word doc:

Code: [Select]

MsgBox ActiveDocument.Hyperlinks.Count
the number of hyperlinks is OK.

However, if I save Linked Doc using SaveLinkedDocument and add this macro in the saved Word doc and run it, then the number of hyperlinks is much higher and it is not correct.

Where is the problem?

Hi all,
I want to solve this problem:

1. With Artifact Document I have Linked Document opened for editing in the Tab window.

2. I start the script, at first I save the Linked Document to a temporary external docx file using SaveLinkedDocument

3. I perform some operations on this file using VBA by script

4. I return this file to the Linked Document using LoadLinkedDocument.

Everything works OK, just one "little" thing:

In the open editing window, this document will not be refreshed after loading from file
and there is the original content before processing.

I need either:

a) refresh the editing Tab window for Linked Document using a script - at the end of script after LoadLinkedDocument

b) or the script will close this Tab editing window so that the user has to reopen this window and this will refresh the contents of the window.

(I can delete the Linked Document by script, but it is dangerous operation) 

Any recommendations?

General Board / Is it possible in EA to try team support under single license (e.g.Kanban)?

I have a single license "15.1. Corporate Edition" for one user.
Is it possible to try teamwork support under this license, for example Kanban, with more team members?
If so, how?

General Board / Where can I see the GUID of an element in EA 15.1?

I installed 15.1 and I don't see the GUID anywhere as an element property in the Browser, in older versions I saw it somewhere.
Where can I see the GUID of an element?
(I need to see it for checking in the outside program)

General Board / error open file after code generation

Hi,

after code generation in C# from package I see message "...completed", but the error message is shown:

"An error occurred opening file .... cs"

and no C# file cs is generated.

Any suggestions?

General Board / help with custom view - AddTab

I have this problem with custom view created by my own user control OCX, please help me:

In VB 6.0, this code does not work:

Dim lMyUctrl As Project1.UserControl1
 
Set lMyUctrl = Repository.AddTab("Hello", "Project1.UserControl1")

The tab is created in EA with name “Hello” correctly, but setting the returned object from AddTab into lMyUctrl is raising run-time error “Type mismatch”.

Can You help me with a little advice?

Hi all,

Is it possible to make a reference from text (Note, Scenario...) to element name in model, so that after changing the element name in model the name in text will be changed too?

If not, is it in plan of any new version of EA?

Bugs and Issues / Problem with exported and back imported RTF docs

After exporting to file and back importing from this file RTF linked document does not work correctly - links are not active. :-/  The same problem with Cut and Paste of link.

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / COM object EA.Repository calling from PHP?

I want to create object EA.Repository from PHP with “new COM” syntax:
$rep = new COM("EA.Repository");
No success = no answer from browser.
The same problem with command:
com_load_typelib("EA.Repository");
I have local web server on the same machine as EA. The other COM objects like “ADO.Connection” are working well.
Is it possible to connect EA from PHP and how? Thanks for answers!

Hi all,

I use VB 6.0 and I am newbie in creating Add-Ins in EA. The technique in EA Help is not enough for me – my code and settings are not correct, and I don’t know, where the mistake is.  

Is it possible for anybody to send me description of any small application like “add in - hello world!”  with description how to connect it, what must be set, how to debug it and how to finish it to installations? After it, I may be able to find out my mistakes .  

Maybe some detailed instructions “add-in in EA for dummies” exist and somebody can send me only the link.
