Bugs and Issues / Spell checker user dictionary location
« on: August 12, 2009, 06:34:12 pm »
Does anyone know if it's possible to move the location of the user dictionary.
My Vista program folder is set to read only by group policy, and so EA can't update the user dictionary file.

Bugs and Issues / Headers and Footers in RTF Master documents
« on: August 12, 2009, 02:17:19 pm »
I'm not sure how to explain this, other than headers ands footers on templates attached to master documents simply don't seem to work.
I've tried generating a template from scratch, I've tried importing an existing RTF document, and I've tried using one of the default templates that comes with the product.
Sometimes I get them and some times I don't. Sometimes I only get the header, sometimes I get the rest of document ones but not the first page one. They can be working and then just disappear when I change something else in the template.
Is this just me, or do headers and footers with virtual documents simply not work?

Bugs and Issues / Boundary elements and RTF generator
« on: August 26, 2009, 05:52:54 pm »
I have a diagram with some of the elements grouped using boundary elements. I have the elements grouped using packages in the project browser. I am generating a document with tables for the elements, with a separate header for each package.
For some reason, I am getting a table straight after the diagram, before the element packages, containing an entry for one of the boundary elements.
I tried deleting the boundary element being generated, and the RTF generator inserted the next boundary element in its place.
Any thoughts?

Bugs and Issues / RTF Generator and Master Documents
« on: July 02, 2009, 06:44:59 pm »
I am having two problems with master documents.

1. I can't get first page header/footer to work. It always prints the rest of document header/footer on the first page.
2. The formatting applied to the table of contents is wrong.

I have tried with the template that has the first page and table of content linked directly to the master document element and tried with a separate model element for the document first page and TOC. The results are the same.

If I generate a document just using the covering pages model document, both the header/footer and the TOC are correct.

Any ideas?

Bugs and Issues / Table of Contents generates incorrectly
« on: April 02, 2008, 02:44:41 pm »
I have build 828 installed and am generating an RTF document using a master document and a set of model documents for different sections of the document. I have a document template model document to generate the headers/footers/glossary/front page and table of contents.
The TOC is coming out with missing/incorrect numbering and with each level 1 section of the TOC starting on a new page. If I right click over the TOC in Word and select Update Field, then the TOC is corrected.
Any suggestions on what I may be doing incorrectly.
Thanks

I've got the attribute diagram.name as a header 2 in an RTF template. The name is being generated in the RTF document missing the first 14 characters of the name. It's a consistent 14 across 8 diagrams.
I've tried changing the style to normal, but get the same result.
Any suggestions?

I'm having a problem with a TOC. I have a project with a master document and a series of model documents to generate my documentation. Each model document has its own template. The TOC comes out unnumbered and starting on a new page for each model document. If I right click on it in Word and select Update Field the TOC is regenerated by Word correctly.

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / Document Titles
« on: February 04, 2008, 08:14:55 pm »
I'm using the RTF Generator to create project documents. I want to share a document template across multiple projects. Is anyone aware of a mechanism I can use some variable, such as the root model name, in a document title page. Thanks
