After upgrading to Prolaborate 4.0. connecting to the prolaborate says: "Incompatible Database Schema! Please run the database schema that is compatible with your Prolaborate version and try again" following the "how to fix" link within this message leads to a site where the latest version of database scheme is 3.5.0.0 there is no 4.0.

Does anyone ran into this issue, and does anyone have a possible solution that works.

Thanks for your replies in advance!

Hi Geert!

In fact I tried template fragment sql-s. I couldn't use it twice in report builder template creation. In order to insert elements (sql for filtering activities) and to a section couple of enters below the other fragment sql (filter for requirements) from the same model. Because as I experimented when you insert for example 2 custom template fragments in between element» «element, the publishing only uses one template fragment and ignores the second one. So the goal to have 2 sections in a document one for including elements (type activity, gathered by a template fragment sql) and a line below in publish document template in between  element» «element is ignored, as a result in the created document only activities are shown. Separately, for each on of template fragments used individually in the template give the correct result. for activity it shows the activities and for requirements it shows the requirements.

Do you have any advise to get the wanted results? Maybe I am not using correctly the applying of multiple templates (fragment sql-s n this case) to take effect on a template element (in this case element, but it could be package, child element as well). Could you please help me around in that?

Thanks is advance:

Hi All!

The thing I'am stuck with: I have a bpmn diagram (has 10 activity) and another diagram (has 10 requirements), the two are under one package. I want to get a report by the report builder that has one list (one table of the document) of the activities and on another list the requirements at another table in the same document.

I have tried document templates. (I set element filter to have activity and requirement but the builder still places the stuff in one table).

Also tried virtual documents (good to include several packages in custom order to run the template on them, but that again prints all the elements into one table.

Also tried model document "Searchname" attribute but that only worked if the custom search was not narrowed down to one package, worked only to run on the whole model.

Also ran around generate document into document artifact, but that didn't work..

So I am totally lost.

Any idea at someone which would get me out of the woods? Please help!

Thanks in advance for any advices you might have.

Hi Guru!

Sorry to hear. By the way is there a way in your experience to show the chain of diagrams on the parent diagram? (chain of diagram equals to table of contents or etc.)? In order to somehow ease the navigation and the understandibility when presenting sub-process in 5-6 levels deep (what happens is the audience and the presenter is losing track of where they are exactly..)

Thanks is advance. Appreciate your reply.

Hi All!

Any idea how to open an element with child element within(!) a bpmn diagram, not in a new window. So when opening the sub-process in a bpmn diagram it would basically extend the diagram to see the sub-process in detail and see the whole process with less detail in the same diagram/window?

Thanks for advices!

Hi Geert!

It works perfectly, as you have mentioned. One extension to that for others is that it is usefull to collect actor elements on the diagram to a specific layer, so it can be turned on/off, by that visibility can be improved. (with all actors and relations the diagram can become overcrowded.)

So thank for the good advice.

Is there a way I can signal it to EA that you gave a useful advice, so you could get recognition for that?

Please advise:

Is it possible to do the following in EA: connect People (in organizational diagram) to bpmn activity responsible. Somehow ad (maybe in custom tag) a responsible person or organizational department to an activity, in a way that the person for that is coming from a list from organizational chart (which is created in EA organizational diagram (possibly Organization Viewpoint / Archimate ?)

Thanks for your advise in advance.

Dear Forum members!

A question is halting us to carry forward with our EA work at the moment:

Please help with some advice. :)

We created a bpmn diagram with more than a hundred activity.

For one activity I could create a tag “mytag” which I can select from the tag type list, and later on I can give a value to it (for example in specification manager, after I put in the right coloumn).

However I want to avoid the process needed to manually do this activity/properties/tags select tag process by a hundred times and lator maybe a thousand times if the number of diagrams and the content of them grows.

Is there a way to extend the activity element so that every time I drag an activity from the toolbox it already has the tag “mytag, which I have created” for example? Or you guys would do it some other way??

Thanks for your reply in advance.
