My 2cents,

Moving to Sqlite for local databases is going to be a real game changer. SQLite has database diff and merge tooling out of the box, there is even some git support for it somewhere. Sharing models and settings alongside source code, branching and merging models and settings across projects for small teams. All sorts of fun. As SQLite tooling is available on pretty much every platform, copies of model databases can potentially be used as a source artifacts or configuration artifacts by downstream tools, without the need to spin up an EA instance or export any XML...

It also looks like the desktop is including more Javascript driven UI components... Will we see a true cross platform EA? An Electron based Desktop version that uses Prolaborate UI technology?

Pure DB Merge will not be helpful - similar to XMI Textbase Merge - but we work on a LemonTree with SQL Lite support as we speak - and we have tools that make those artifacts available in the pipeline aswell

This can done in 2 Ways:

A) one Diagram containg elements from various Diagrams and Types
B) by Dragging a Diagram on a new Diagram you get the option to use a Diagram Frame

I just tested this with EA 906 Ultimate.
And I could open the same eap file in 5 instances of EA - afterwards I stopped trying.
Also 5 different Models in 5 different EA's worked

are you using the Desktop Edition?

you need to be a little carefull because of x64

As I am running an x64 setup I have to make sure the .net .dll’s are compiled for x86 – therefore we need to enhance the command line from before a little bit.

%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\msbuild.exe Accounts.sln /Target:Rebuild /Property:Config=Debug;Platform=x86

Now we can configure Nunit to run with Enterprise Architect – be careful in defining the x86 versions of the tools so it will work on x64 computers.

“C:\Program Files (x86)\NUnit 2.5.7\bin\net-2.0\nunit-console-x86.exe” AccountsTest\bin\x86\Debug\AccountsTest.dll

On my quest to find good ways to generate Sequence Diagrams - I found a nice Drag and Drop way of doing it.

I prepared a short Video:

Currently my Work focuses alot around the "Debug" Tools in EA.

In my quest to help others to explore this Features aswell I made a short Blogpost detailing some of the stuff I found out.

I would be very glad to hear what others think!

Nice to get positive Feedback for my work - thanks.
Currently I am working on the next step ;)

Unittests are Scenarios - Sequence Diagrams document Scenarios....

And yes I slaughtered the Dragon - and have a working Solution.

Now I need to find some time to make a "tutorial"...
