Yes, please do this!
Or maybe we shall report absence of this possibility as a bug?
Consider the Sparx' own Structured Use Case Scenarios about the classical ATM game. How could one add a regular real-life requirement "ATM shall confiscate the card if wrong PIN entered 3 times" without Alternate on Alternate?

Suggestions and Requests / Re: Mac OS X version of EA

We use VirtualBox on Macs (to run EA, among other things), it works at least not worse than Parallels and doesn't cost anything. You just have the extra cost of a Windows license anyway.

Suggestions and Requests / More power to Model Views

Please add at least "order by" option to the search definitions.
The most flexible solution would be to allow editing SQL for "search definitions". Yes I know one can create a view/search via SQL editor but I've found no way to edit existing ones.

General Board / Show only diagrams of child elements in RTF - how?
« on: October 29, 2010, 05:10:18 am »
Has anyone succeeded in it -- show just diagrams, without subelement names? One can insert lots of tags between "child elements>" and "<child elements" but {Diagram.DiagramImg} is missing from the options.
The business goal is to provide Use Cases document so that for UCs with Activity Diagrams (generated from Structured Scenarios) the document includes these diagrams, too.
So far the best result I've achieved was "insert diagram into element tag" and "insert nothing into child_elements tag" relying on "default child processing". But in this case all the unneeded information like action names of the child element is also displayed.

General Board / Re: Multinational characters support?
« on: October 09, 2007, 03:38:03 am »
There are open issues in situation like described (PC set to work with one charset and another one to be used in EA): a support issue 07071029 had been opened on July 25 (or a couple of days earlier), 2007 (it was about Western/Cyrillic, not Chinese/Japanese combination, but the basics were the same). No solution from Sparx so far.
But I have to admit that these are relatively minor issues there.

Thank you for your help.
Most of "unicode display" problems have been solved in v7.
And I meant "how to attach an image to the post without utilizing any external server" indeed ;-).

Well, I've switched to Jet4 database. I can add unicode to, say, UC names and notes and I see it on diagrams, but in the editing window non-windows-default-ansi-codepage characters are displayed as "bold |" instead, making editing pretty problematic.
How can I tell UI of EA to "use unicode font"? And can I somehow attach an image to the message to illustrate the problem?

Bugs and Issues / Re: Unicode in EA

Yes, this issue is known (and reported as error) for quite long time.
The problem is with the Notes window (and one or two others, IIRC), however, most windows do work with Unicode; it seems to be a hardcoded UI font problem as the data _is_ there.
No solution provided AFAIK.
The only workaround is to set your Windows ANSI code page to Japanese (but if you need two different codepages at the same time then it wont work out).
